Tuition and Scholarship FAQs
How much is RFYO tuition? See 2020-21 FAQs also
Tuition for one semester at a time is $200. Tuition for the full school year is $400. Tuition cannot be prorated based on weekly attendance, but can sometimes be adjusted based on participating during a certain segment of the year.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, everyone is welcome to pay in installments. The first payment for installments or full pay is due by August 20, 2020. Payment for the fall semester is due in full by October 15, and by February 15 for the spring semester.
Should my child be enrolled in private lessons too?
Yes, regular private lessons are required for all string players in order to help students succeed and thrive in both their own playing and in the RFYO. Need-based partial and full scholarships for private lessons and tuition are available in order to make this possible for all students.
How do I apply for scholarship?
The regular deadline for scholarship applications has passed, but applications from new students, or anyone in need of scholarship are still be accepted! Please do not hesitate to reach out. Register online for RFYO here and select that you would like to apply for need-based scholarship. Sarah will then send you further information on applying.
What if I can't afford to pay anything right now, can I still register my child for RFYO?
Yes, all students are accepted into the RFYO regardless of their ability to pay tuition. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at any time in the year.
How can I support the RFYO program?
The RFYO offers all families the subsidized tuition rate of $400 per year. The actual tuition rate that would cover the full cost of the RFYO program is $1,800 per student per school year. If you are able to pay the difference of $1,400, or any part of it at any amount, the difference is tax-deductible. Donating through Colorado Gives Day or by check ensures that all of your donation goes to the RFYO without extra fees. Thank you!
